How it scores
Photograph a bird, log it. Every species has a published value; the same one pays less each day you log it in a week. The season is the sum of your weeks.
Values
From 10 points (a crow) to 100 points (a bird almost never reported here), set by how many places in the region report it in a normal week. Fixed for the season — the board.

Species × day
- First day
- Full value.
- Next days
- Half, then a quarter, then an eighth. A crow farmed all week is about 20 points; a new bird always beats it.
- Same day
- A second photo of the same species doesn't pay again.
- Daily cap
- 5 scoring finds a day.
- Reset
- Monday, in the league's timezone.
- Bird of the Week
- One species for everyone, worth 50–100 points, paid once, never halved.
- Standings
- Points, then species, then your single best find.

Verification
- Camera date
- From the photo's EXIF. A photo without one needs a league-mate to confirm it.
- GPS
- Must fall inside the region. Missing is allowed.
- Plausibility
- A high-value claim with no regional reports around that date is flagged for the commissioner.
- Kind vs. place
- An owl claimed where only gulls are reported is flagged.
- League-mates
- 60–80 points needs one confirmation; 90–100 points needs two. You can't confirm your own.
- Commissioner
- Clears a flag or rejects a find.
